Google Decided to remove Authorshop Photos to Increase CTR(Click Through Rate).
Google has made a very crucial decision last month to remove authorship photos & name from search results. This decision has made becouse authorship photos has greatly impact on CTR of Paid Search ads.Larry Kim, The CTO at Wordstream, Wants to know more about that effect and also look for the evidence to support this theory. Then Larry published his findings in a Report.
In that Report, Larry start testing the CTR of a ads Search result befor and after google's announcement. Really he was found the evidence that the CTR of the Search ads went up significantly when author photos and name were no available in Search Result.
The CTR of that ads went up to 44.8% after removal of authorship photos were removed. We know that product listing ads draw attention and clicks because of the images, so it would stand to reason that the removal of author photos from organic search results would have the opposite effect. Many suspected that this was the case now we know for sure.
